Thank you for joining us this beautiful day as we delve into the fantasy world of wizards, witches, dragons, and magic with Harry Potter and his crew of Hermoine Granger, and Ron Weasley. Characters fantastically played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. This fantasy movie fascinated kids for over a decade spanning from the year 2001 to 2011; and it now has a spin-off series.
It is the usual tale of good versus evil with a triumphant ending for the good of humanity. Fantasy movies for kids usually have a moral for good behaviour and the importance of protecting people.
In our usual fashion, we dig deeper into the scenes, unclogging mental blocks, to decipher subliminal messages and social inferences in the movie. We have summarized some key lessons from the entirety of the movies that resonate with our blog's purpose. Enjoy reading.
- Technological Insights
In the magical world of Harry Potter there are talking and moving pictures in tabloids and wall-frames, flying broom sticks and letters that read themselves, and magical maps with geo-location tagging. It is important to note that Harry Potter was written by J.K. Rowling between 1990 and 1995, before the invention of the first smart phone with built-in video communication technology was made in May 1999 in Japan.
Our smart-phones, tablets, and computers now have video technology that can communicate and interact like the magical symbolisms in Harry Potter. We now have technology for voice-mails that function like letters that read themselves and there are major movies by corporates and independent inventors to develop single manned flying machines using drone technology. Furthermore, there are many geo-location products for tracking items and tracing locations worldwide.
If J.K. Rowling is a witch, she's definitely a good witch, because she foresaw many good inventions for humanity. In fact, the flying broomstick has long been acknowledged as part of a witch's usual possession and it is widely recognized in folktales, myths, and stories.
Scientists developing single manned flying machines can learn a lot from the description and images of a flying broom stick. If they combine these images with the sci-fi movie Tron, then maybe it can help develop better schematics for single manned flights.
There have also been moves to create dynamic wall photo-frames that offer synchronized transfer and storage of display images that can change at will or at the command of users.
Harry Potter portrays magical insights into technology that corresponds with our view that spiritual powers and god-like abilities of our early ancestors were meant to be transmitted into physical scientific and technological inventions for the future as man progressed in the journey of life. You can find more explanations and examples in the reviews of Kraven, Spiderhead, Spiderman and Sinners.
- Choose Love
Ron Weasley tries to curse Malfoy to eat slugs because he calls Hermoine a filthy mug blood, but the curse backfires and Ron starts throwing up slugs.
In reality, there are certain people who out of wickedness defend their wicked acts with an enchantment on themselves. An enchantment that wishes anyone what the person wishes for them.
Such enchantments are a dark variant of the prophetic claim from God on his anointed messengers; 'I would bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you'. The evil ones among us always try to mimic and convert the directives of God to suit their selfish purpose.
Love wins on all counts, you can never give too much or get too much of love. Love would take the weight of vengeance off your shoulders and open your eyes to more beautiful opportunities. Love can save you from such enchantments because when you encounter such people you'd only wish for them to be free of their ignorance and impatience with life, and nothing evil would bounce back at you. This is not to say that you should turn the other cheek when slapped, but it means that you can be assertive and confident without wishing evil or harm on the other person. Don't stoop to their level in their game of wickedness, keep your mentality and composure elevated.
- Bond Oppression
Dolores punishes Harry to discourage him from revealing the truth or complaining about Vol Dermots return. There are two major symbolic meanings we derived from these scenes.
The first meaning is in reference to bond enslavement or punishment as Dolores turns her back on Harry and his hands bleeds. It is quite similar to what we reviewed in mini-series 'Wayward'. Bond entrapments are an exploited spiritual ability that is used to enslave and entrap people of both genders. Unfortunately there are no legal checkmates to its use, however from personal experience, I have developed some insights that can help reduce or alleviate these pains. You can find those insights in our eBooks titled; 'To Write A Wrong', and hopefully my insights can help women assume a little more decency and our men a little less barbarism.
The second meaning is in reference to ignoring unchallengeable problems that we can't control. If you are up against something that is so powerful that nothing can destroy or defeat it, then your best bet is to do nothing about it. Otherwise, anything you try only gives it more strength. Its like fighting a super being who only absorbs strength from anything you throw at it. Weird as it may sound, but our world is under siege and held hostage by special individuals like that. Individuals who can't be challenged or defeated, Individuals with a sinister mentality and no meaningful purpose other than the exploitation of the weak and defenseless.
Our best bet against such individuals is to open our hands and hearts and help them see the truth about how things should be and how life should flow for the good of everyone. The major challenge they face is overcoming the bonds of wrongness, which makes them reject corrections and reason, and everyone should contribute in whatever way they can to save our world. For example; have you ever sent the link of this blog to a friend, family member, or your contacts on social media? Well, you should, because every little counts.
- The Imbalance
The governing structures at the ministry of magic and Hogwarts tips in favor of the dark lord as more corrupt heads emerge with dark intentions. The happy school soon turns into a dark place where love is restricted and the usual practices which make it Hogwarts are prohibited.
It is a symbolic reference to how society and the human mentality has been turned away from the original programming towards the selfish interest of ambitious individuals, by corrupting tools which originally served as guides and preventing the truth from being practiced or preached. You can find many examples of such ill practices in culture, religion, and our political history. We gave an example in our review of 'Black Crab'.
These scenes remind us of how quickly society can degenerate if there are no checkmates to balance our institutions and practices.
Thank you for reading through our review. The 8 movies are a long watch with each of them over 2 hours long, but each movie was as thrilling as when I first watched them more than a decade ago. Funny enough, I hadn't seen the last three movies, so it was quite a good watch, and I know you would enjoy watching them all over again. Bye, and enjoy the rest of your week.
