Hidden meanings in film noir: KINDS OF KINDNESS (2024) - Some mishaps are not coincidences...

Thank you for joining us on this issue as we examine the subliminal messages, life lessons, and social inferences from the movie, Kinds of Kindness. Kinds of Kindness is an expository of social issues using symbolisms that appear weird or grotesque.

It holds lots of symbolic meanings like its predecessor, Poor Things, in the Yorgos Lanthimos trilogy which feature Emma Stone. Other casts in this movie include Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Mamoudou Athie, Hunter Schafer, Joe Alwyn, and Krystal Alayne Chambers.

It is worthy of note that Poor Things was the inspiration behind the creation of this website and it is still our very first movie review available on the last blog page. So it is expected there are lots of symbolic meanings in this movie, and we have filtered a few that resonate highly with our blog's purpose. Let us dive right into it.

  • Death Traps
Raymond uses Robert to orchestrate an accident on R.M.F.. What appeared to the doctors and R.M.F. as an unfortunate accident was actually cleverly orchestrated.
In reality, it is important to understand that some mishaps are not coincidences. In line with our debate and arguments on the sustained differences between the demonics and angelics using the tools of discrimination and deprivation. It is important to be conscious of the attitudes of the demonic to unnecessarily symbolize seniority or Lordship over angelics in ways that are quite disheartening.
One of the special abilities of the awoken is being able to use predictive sequences or some other special means of control to design mishaps that befall people who threaten their bonds of exclusivity or who go against their whims. With this ability, some of them design death traps or special problems that deter discriminated people from enjoying what they consider exclusive. For example, some successful angelics have been known to die from accidents while flying or driving expensive vehicles. Others have developed terminal illness like diabetes or kidney failures due to indulgence in sweet food or expensive alcohol brands.
There are also special instances of entrapped angelics living in bonded houses with death traps like slippery stairs or baths, and fire or electrocution risks which are designed to keep them within the manipulative control of oppressors. Sometimes such tools serve as deterrents for mind control and mental blocks that restrict the angelics from acting freely.
The awoken demonics need to understand that being capable doesn't give you the right to exploit. Like we explained in the movie review of Spiderman, with great power comes great responsibility. Most unsuspecting angelics are a little more than completely helpless in such situations and it is important for the demonics to rise up and out of the ill feelings and misdirection that have ruined the peaceful co-habitation and progress of our world.
  • Entrapments
Robert is on an enslaving bond relationship were weird things are demanded from him. His decisions are completely controlled by Raymond, including his marriage, his car, his security code, and his decision to not have kids. It is a bond so enslaving that Robert is willing to kill R.M.F. who appears to be a personification of innocent love.
Many of us are in such social dilemmas, in our fraternities, our place of work, and even in our relationships. Social dilemmas that are so gripping that we feel suffocated yet can't bear to lose because it feels like our lives are tied to it. That feeling of being tied completely to something in a way that makes you think you can't survive without it, is only a mirage or illusion. It is one of those ignorance spells that blinds us from seeing the big picture and keeps us enslaved to a situation. The truth is that there are countless opportunities in this world, that's still only in its infancy. For example; one man might think his life would be finished if he loses his job, while some other man of the same age can leave his home country and travel to a distant land with nothing and yet become very successful. Life is about perception and choices and the scales tilt in the direction where the most choices are made.
  • Enslaving Baits
Speaking of ignorance spells and bonds; Robert indulges in sexual perversion with Raymond and his wife, Vivian. This unusual sexual triangle which has become a norm called swingers or wife swapping is also symbolized in the relationships between the couples Daniel and Liz, and Neil and Martha.
Just like we explained in review of 'The Devil All The Time', such relationships that appear harmless are often spiritually exploited by the awoken. While the victim might feel because he's been invited to share their bed, they could be wickedly bonding his entire mentality to enslavement. That spiritual bond backed by an ignorance spell, can prevent such persons from thinking outside the circle or box they've been enslaved to. Such enslaved men would go out of their way and against rational thinking to act in favor of their masters.
Some people might comment on the need for variety in sexual relationships and it is a reasonable argument. However, the spiritual exploitation of such relationships counters any reasonable benefit. One solution to such feelings of needing variety, is the acknowledgement and cross-matching of true-love within essences in a way that offers variety through our multiplication and reincarnation and the occasional 'muah me' or same essence relationships. It doesn't sound healthy or sane to have a gangbang with your true love essence but it is better, and a more viable solution to checkmating the exploitation of bonds that have spoilt the balance of society and derailed our humanity.
It is important that men become seriously conscious of the importance of the cross-matching of true love and the situations of enslaving baits that are often exploited.
  • The Feminine Struggle
Robert explains to this mental health doctor that Liz cut off her finger and prepared it for him to eat, and in the morning she was punching herself. The doctor shrugs it off like it was irrelevant and asks; 'How have you been sleeping, Robert?'.
This scenes are deeply symbolic of the feminine struggles and the exploitation of the feminine gender. Not only has Robert made an obscene request, but he has also successfully denied it, and made it look like it was Liz's decision. Some of us watch porn and after all the obscenities and brutality have been melted out on the girl, an interviewer seeking indemnity against legal action would ask a question; 'Where you forced to do this?' and the girl would answer; 'No, I liked it'.
Well, there is a space were the curtain is drawn between man and machine. A robot or android would record that the girl likes it, but a human with a conscience and soul would know that there's something wrong about the whole thing. Being capable doesn't give you a right to exploit others. Most of such young women are under bonds to not complain, and if they say no they'd be flogged by bonds or they would need to do worse things to overcome the pains of bonds. Furthermore, our society is so imbalanced by exploitation that those who reject being subjects of such irrationality often suffer discrimination and deprivation. Most people under ignorance spells or bonds cannot see beyond the threat of discrimination and deprivation, thus their choices continue to tilt the scales in favor of such exploitations.
The scenes also symbolizes a woman's sacrifice in love by going beyond her natural will and capacity to serve a man. It also symbolizes the inadequacies of legal systems or societal policies towards catering for women in enslaving situations. As the mental health doctor considers Liz's issues irrelevant. We mentioned the inadequacies of recognized legal systems to checkmate the spiritual exploitation of people by bonds in our review of 'Last Night in Soho'.

That's our take on life lessons and symbolic meanings in this movie. We hope you have a nice time seeing it as much as we did. Enjoy the rest of your week.
