Hidden meanings in Film noir: CODE 8 Part I & II (2019 & 2024) - Every step rerouted in the right direction has the potential to save humanity...

Thank you for joining us once again in this social mirror of human reality. This time our no filters lenses is tuned-in to this dystopian reality movie with a whole bunch of superheroes. Enjoy reading.

  • Disbalanced Economy
The movie features an informal 'cash corner' for odd job laborers. Cash corners are informal physical street-side locations where workers congregate daily in expectation of odd job opportunities or blue collar construction jobs. In proper perspective, the 'cash corners' are a stark contrast to the futuristic autonomous technology enabled society. Therefore, these scenes relate to the problem of a growing imbalance in the process of things and the economy in general.
We have to be more responsible towards ourselves. To proactively observe, acknowledge, and mitigate social failures that can arise as our civilization grows. It is important to inculcate social and economic plans into the process of development, rather than focus majorly on technological and financial improvements.
  • Corruption Opportunity
Connor (Robbie Amell) gets recruited into a criminal gang by Garrett (Stephen Amell) as an aide to heists. Connor's low financial standing and his mother's health problem makes him vulnerable and he is easily convinced.
In reality, it is important to be mindful that corrupting moments often come at times when you seem out of luck and things seem really down or bad. More importantly, your out of luck moments can be intelligently orchestrated by persons looking to enslave you in wrongness or criminal oaths. What then do you do in such moments of ill luck or down turns? Be still, be patient, and be thankful for what you have. Be thankful so that you do not become depressed and keep your head up, because the sun always comes after the storm.

  • Indebted or Unobligated
Nia (Kyla Kane) laments her indebtedness, when Connor asks her why she doesn't walk away. A claim of indebtedness is the usual response from young adults who are entrapped in a blackmailing relationship or fraternal bond. Such people usually give the better part of their productive years in service to repay such debts. This mentality of indebtedness is more often based on mental blocks rather than actual facts. It is a social ploy and an intelligent device used to keep potentially productive people under enslaving bonds, as our society continues to be hijacked by a misdirected commitment to enslaving and entrapping practices. Just like we acknowledged in the review of 'The Damned', many people have a right to be free but they succumb to trickery and delay tactics used to stall their own success.

  • Greed Ruins It All
Connor chides Garrett for becoming greedy and putting the entire gang at risk, and ultimately earning them a jail term. In reality, it is almost a natural sequence to get greedy and caught, if you soil your hands with illegal affairs. 'Almost', because the world isn't a fair place, many criminals still prosper immensely.
Nonetheless, just like we reviewed in the movie 'Mortdecai', dirty dealers always want more, so it is important to think twice before you take that first step, because it might become an increasingly demanding entrapment with no way out.
  • Social Flow
The movie showcases the possibilities of Ai and the potential roles it can play in our society, including autonomous law enforcers, surveillance drones and robotic security dogs. We should be conscious of how Ai deployment can affect our social programming and the economic balance of the world. We should also be conscious of the wrongness in our accepted systems and techniques. For example, there are significant errors in mathematics that appear inconsequential but might be hazardous in the future. E.g. 1/2 divide by 1/2 cannot be equal to 1, because anything divided is supposed to reduce. Imagine if there was an error in calculating 1/2 of a light year in a quantum leap journey!
These lapses, wrongs, and errors also leave room for spiritual manipulation and the possibility of sentience in Ai programming. Remember our previous reviews and eBooks on the spiritual carrying of future physical inventions by the original ancestors.

Like we reviewed from the movie, In The Heart Of The Sea, a wrong approach ultimately leads to hazardous consequences. Therefore, let us begin to make conscious strategic efforts to dot our i's and cross our t's. Let us hope, pray, and earnestly work towards preventing a reoccurrence of failed dystopian or utopian economies where one-half of the people leave like primitive refugees. Every step rerouted in the right direction has the potential to save humanity.

Hope you gained one or two insights from this week's issue and thank you for reading. Have a great week.
