The Damned by Harper L. Woods is a fantasy novel based on the classic forbidden love story. From our perspective, the characters in the book are a bit conflicting. Beelzebub is more a representative of Archangel Michael, as Margot is most likely the Queen of the Black Race. It is a classic story of forbidden love as the works of mother nature tries to create harmony between the conflicting forces of the good (angelic) and evil (demonic). Beelzebub is definitely a representation of Michael because the demonic don't wank. Iban and Belphegor are also more representative of Azazeal, the Archangelic 1st who fell from betraying Michael, as the book states his limitations in the realm of hell which are unlike the other Archdemons. Asmodeus in control of the realm of lust is also a reference to the 1st, who destroys angelics with wanking until their spouse are rid of love. There are lots of life lessons in this book that resonates with our perspective. Enjoy reading.
- The Love Key
In one scene, the head of the demon clan, Lucifer, asks for the acceptance of his betrothal to Willow, a witch from the witches clan. He claims its a chance to start anew and come together in unity by marriage. In another scene, Margot a young witch sings and entraps Archdemon Beelzebub to herself with her siren voice. Both of these instances represent the 'forbidden love' story.
Forbidden love has been a subject of human tragic stories for centuries including the relationship between Batman and Catwoman, Romeo and Juliet, Pocahontas, and Selene and Michael Covin from the movie Underworld. The forbidden love issue has persisted among humans through time immemorial. Forbidden love is a reference to the differences that exists in humanity, our confusion about our common origin and true purpose. We need to overcome differences instilled in us from the source of creation and learn to see ourselves as different aspects of a whole. Just like different departments in a large corporation, we should have a common purpose that drives and unifies us. A purpose to build a better world in peaceful harmony and social balance.
- Framed Enemy
Margot's mother Fritha Erotes, is lead by ambition to condone allowing her daughter suffer sexual abuse at the hands of Itan. Itan's bonds would release a spell that helps the house Erotes reclaim their lost power of transformation and help raise their power status. After Itan's trial and execution, Margot is bewildered to realize that her mother knew about her abuse all along.
In your life there might be people who portray themselves as your friend because they are an enemy of your enemy but if you look closely you might notice that both parties are actually working together. Such deceitful tactics is quite similar to the concept of good cop and bad cop. Don't be too trusting to people because you have a common enemy. In the movie The Count of Monte-Cristo, Edmond uses disguises to fool his foes into thinking they had a common enemy. A common enemy is not a criteria for a true friend, because it doesn't imply that you have a common purpose, objective, or goal.
- The Delusion of Power
In one scene Fritha is delighted as Margot shows signs of possessing the transformative powers of their ancestorial lineage, and in another scene, Archangel Michael and Iban attempt to gain powers through rituals involving blood sacrifices and opening a seal gateway to hell. Margot's transformation to an ancestorial ability of power, only turns out to be a sequence for returning into the fires of hell.
The attainment of the all-power has been a proverbial wild goose chase for eternity. We mentioned the futility of attaining ultimate power in our review of the movie League of Thrones. Our world is built on a foundation of balance. If you become all powerful, it only means that one side has completely fallen and one cannot exist without the other. It all comes crumbling down. Even if you persist for too long in an imbalanced state, the world starts crumbling both spiritually and physically. Moreover, our origin as Gods, spiritual entities, and our understanding of the 13 queens of humanity, gives us a perspective of reincarnation. This implies that spiritual beings with super powers are reincarnated and multiplied through time as physical human vessels and their special powers are expressed as scientific or organic inventions and endeavors. For example, an ability to fly transmuted into aeronautics engineering, or an ability to lift heavy weights transmuted into Hydraulic engineering, or healing abilities expressed in modern medicine. Therefore, a desire to attain a spiritual 'all-power' or 'ultimate power' is just a backward push to primitiveness that reverses the transmutation of primitive abilities into modern inventions. It is important that we develop an awareness or mindfulness around the social flow or blueprint of our human race journey.
- The Downtrodden Woman
Margot meets her ancestor, Amelia in the second cycle of hell, called Lust. A cycle under Asmodeus. Amelia tells her story of being forcefully betrothed and accused of witchcraft because she refused a forced marriage. She also talks about the killings of innocent women who were accused of witchcraft.
This isn't a fantastic depiction of fantasy, because it is the reality of most women, even in modern societies. Young adults still get killed for refusing forced marriages and enslaving systems. In some parts of the world, angelics who refuse to get married because they are put off by the women who have been put through humiliating systems, are branded gays and violently persecuted. In some cultures, young women who refuse forced marriages are framed and stoned to death. There are many young girls who have been kidnapped and sex trafficked for rejecting to partake of the systems bonded to cheat love. There are also many young men who have been killed standing for the rights of such women. This is the stark reality of our world. So what kind of society are we building, if those who reject wrongness are helplessly killed or discriminated. Which should understand that Love is a promise bonded in our foundational origins, ruining it would ruin us all. It is an opportunity to overcome differences in tribes, race, tradition, and culture. It is the basis behind the divine programming of true love between Archangelic Michael and the Queen of the Black Race. We should be happy when people fall in love.
- The Big Picture
Margot and Beelzebub fall through the seal of an open gateway to hell. They have to face nine trials to freedom. Margot specifically mentions the test of the cycle or gate of lust which might be a reference to attaining discipline over worldly pleasures, like porn or masturbation to attain success. The entire story is symbolic of the fall of man from grace to a place of suffering. The trials of hell an indication of the steadfastness, honesty, and discipline needed to return to grace. To fix our world we need to be clear on what we want to achieve and how we can achieve it. That clarity is to love freely with out discrimination and prejudice. Just like the Amelia quotes to Margot; 'Happy people who are in love with both themselves and their life partner do not feel the need to harm others. Love can inspire great change'.
- The Wanking Dues
Beelzebub cums on himself as Margot seductively pays her dues to the Cycle of Lust under Asmodeus. In reality wanking is a common problem among young adults (mostly angelic) that hinders progress. Hence, the character of Beelzebub most likely reflects the angelic presence of Michael. The symbolisms of Beelzebub wanking or cuming in erotic fantasy at Margot is symbolic of the enslaving systems that hold the angelic bonded to not get the love of women. The stealing of angelic rights by wanking is one of the major causes of imbalance in our world. This imbalance is further aggravated by a neglect of scientific pursuits that wouldn't be harmful to our ecosystem. As most demonics under awareness of the system secrets of obtaining the wealth of the angelic by wanking, pay more attention to enslaving women who can fulfill such purposes. This wealth is then transferred through systems like prostitution, gambling, drug addiction, and other draining activities the angelic ignorantly lust after.
- Know Your Goals
Asmodeus almost succeeds at making Margot linger in his realm of lust, but Beelzebub understood that her right of passage had been meant. Many people have a right to be free or successful in their various endeavors but they succumb to trickery and delay tactics used to stall their reward. Be conscious of your goal. However, the balance of life between the conflicting forces of good and evil is also important to the ability to remain steadfast in life's pursuits.
- The Importance of Effective Communication
Margot overheard Beelzebub claim that she means nothing to him. She flies into a fit of rage and storms off on her own into the cycle of wrath. Unknown to her, Beelzebub was only making a statement to ensure her safe passage through the cycle of greed. Her anger almost cost everything in the cycle of wrath. Margot also fails to tell Beelzebub that she made a pact with Satanus for his sake.
It is important to communicate in relationships and to have adequate knowledge over a situation before losing yourself to emotions. Many people have made life altering mistakes just out of emotions that later proved to be based on false notions. Be mindful, be tolerant, be open to communicating your grievances in relationships because it would build more trust and love between you and your partner. Most importantly, be quick to forgive if they are not being abusive.
- The Bargain
Beelzebub's life threatening injury in the cycle of Wrath makes Margot bargain with Satanus. 'Anything, I'd give you anything if you help him', she cried.
Never promise anything or make an oath or bond out of desperation. The demonics always look for ways to symbolize their wickedness and they are more knowledgeable and crafty than you can immediately absorb, imagine, or understand. Many people enslaved by the system would work to put you in a situation of desperation just to beguile you into making an oath. Such deceitful bargains most often cost more than what is gained. It is the most common story among aspiring celebs, the deal with the devil at the crossroads, under the stress of failure and the weight of being stranded. The oath of 'I am willing to do anything for it'!!! No, No, No, pick a path and your destiny would reveal itself, as long as you stay true to yourself. What's yours is yours, you only need to be aware of your rights. However, this also raises the question of the spoilt balance of life by the enslavement of the angelics under the 1st. As the demonics have more control of life resources and infrastructures leaving little room for the angelic to stand strong during life's trials, and the demonic are quick to take advantage of the situation.
