- Floating Cities
The base station in this movie, is modelled after a floating city, but it's occupants have a different and rather wrong mentality.
Just as things float in water so do things float in the vastness of space. It requires a relatively lesser amount of engine thrust to keep vessels positioned in an area, and using Lego bricks concepts, different compartments would combine to form a large base city. If we can build competency and capacity through experience and training in developing eco-cities in the ocean, we would have a mentality of social living rather than a dystopian science research based orientation.
In this regard, a couple can meet on a journey towards Mars, get married in a floating city and decide to settle there. Their children can grow up and be educated in the floating city, and then decide to shove off to another planet. Space exploration missions should be considered as a whole system of life, not a never ending search for scientific inventions. - Love Dies
Mickey (Robert Pattison) dies for the sake of science research and is brought back alive by the use of some sought of cloning technology.
His death and resurrection for the good of the world, is symbolic of the way love dies through various generations and lifetimes. By love, we mean the essence of archangelic Michael. Michaeleans, both male and female, are embodiments of love, they are God carriers of the feelings of love, and this is one trait that is usually exploited and victimized in our world. From Nordic blood eagle sacrifices, to Christian crucifixion, to fraternity rituals, and societal victimization. Love dies in a world where wrongness is strongly supported. The systems of wrongness that support the destruction of love by the humiliation of women places the physical female vessels of Michaella on the receiving end of humiliation and brutal experiences, while the male vessels of Michael are inherently unable to accept the tenets and bonds of such system. It seems like a helpless situation, but if you act, I act, and we all act, surely we would move mountains and change our world for the better.
- Science Directions
Mickey is reprinted or cloned and his memories are plugged back into his brains every time he dies. He is a dispensable tool to the scientific researchers.
This calls to mind the importance of sustaining ethical principles in science in line with the right direction of our human race programming. Like we mentioned in our review of 'Kraven', we mustn't deviate to the wrongness of monsters or cyborgs designed for war through infusion of wires and machine. We are inherently an organic vessel and the right science would activate cells and enzymes within the body. We must also not be derailed by the immortality pursuit because we are a reincarnating species. Being immortal only robs our future selves of the opportunity to prosper.
- Social Balance
Mickey's designation as a dispensable tool that can be put through pain and death for research purposes is a lesson on the importance of social and developmental balance.
In a well balanced society, it would be impossible to exploit less capable individuals for such endeavors, because no one would be desperate enough to accept it. Even criminals would have rights above such exploitation. We should make reasonable efforts to ensure social and developmental balance. - Misconceptions
Mickey's hand explodes off his body while working on the exterior of the space vessel.
In reality, we should be careful how we draw inferences from observations and how we build a wrong mentality around phenomenon we haven't fully understood. There was a time science class referred to space as a vacuum. But today, scientist can observe lots of objects in space. This implies that we are still at the beginning stages of science, compared to the vastness of the cosmos. Therefore, we shouldn't block out our thought processes and scientific potentials with unverified information. Let's carefully observe our society, cultures, religions, and education to identify things that the bonds of wrongness has created and sustained through time. It is time to rightly realign our world.
