I have an ignorant distant feeling that all white movies are hollywood movies. So forgive me Maples, I have been so focused on hollywood and east asian movies that I forgot Canada's film industry. I almost passively accepted that Canada only hosts movie festivals and Hollywood sometimes come to Canada for beautiful scenery. It was probably reinforced by my yellow boat tourism ride in Winnipeg at the Forks, which the boat guide said was the very boat the movie 'Nobody' starring Bob Odenkirk was filmed.
'I Like Movies' is a beautiful, beautiful movie with some important subliminal messages and insightful life lessons that are sure to stir up your bubble. So please enjoy reading this issue and thank you for being part of this journey of redemption.
- Family Matters
Lawrence (Isaiah Lehtinen) disrespects his mother, Terri (Krista Bridges) because of pleasing his friend, Matt (Percy Hynes White). He asks her to leave the sitting room so that he and his friend can watch SNL. Imagine that! His mother is a single mom who works hard to give them a life, and his friend is someone who later kicks him off their partnership school project.
In life, be careful that you don't relegate people who are always on your side, to please people who can abandon you. Family is always a good gamble you shouldn't bet against, although things are a bit shady these days with the way rebirth has been altered and missing angelic children. Win or lose, good or bad, your family would always be family. Friends, on the other hand, can sometimes have sinister motives. So please think twice before you raise your voice against your mom or ask your dad to not drop you off at school, because you feel embarrassed by their lifestyles. The people you support could well be a cog in the wheel that keeps your real people the way you don't like.
- The Enslavement

Sequels Video store's manager, Alana (Romina D'Ugo), sets sales goals for each staff. The low goals and the general awareness of changing technology reminds us of changing times.
Video stores with VHS and DVDs are almost extinct with the arrival of online streaming. There are many industries which have faded out or become stagnant due to changing technology, and this makes the importance of having the right leadership more obvious. The right leaders would plan for people affected by layoffs and other contingencies. The right leaders would control the introduction of disruptive technology, without hindering or rewarding creativity. The right leaders would ensure that adequate measures are in place to support change rather than exploit it. Our world needs the right leaders that have the people's interest at heart. Leaders who would be interested in implementing strategic changes with positive impacts on the people much like we recommended in our review of the movie 'Black Doves'.
- Mental Bondage
Alana talks about how she was rejected from the movie industry because she rejected sexual exploitation.
In the real world, its not just movies but music and apparently all things good that women benefit seem to come at the price of sexual exploitation. The winners at the Oscars are filled with expert pole dancers, strip tease maniacs, or porn commensurate skills in wanking or sex. Nudity appears to be a yardstick for recognition in the entertainment industry and a success boost incentive. Most of theses nude images offer little value to the movie, than the exploitation of enslaved fans to wanking. But there are many five star movies and acts that don't exploit nude images and we should try to overcome the indirect insult and dependence on exploiting the feminine grace.
Our men have been placed on mental bondage that keeps them enchanted and enslaved to covetousness, especially in regards to women. If women want good jobs, roles, lives, or celeb status, first they have to swear their open legs and even their heads in submission to the abuse of the controlling systems. Women should be mindful though, because sometimes it could be a test of your real talent to reject the shortcut. If you have over five sexy women you can be with, yet you need to have your way with every new one that needs an opportunity, talented or not, then you are surely a slave to the pussy. Aren't we all slaves to the pussy?
- Much or Well?
This movie is made on a low budget with minimal props but the acting, characters, and conversations are sensationally strong in a way that the viewer can easily identify and empathize with the act.
It's a lesson about passion and commitment. It shows that it's not necessarily about how much resources you have at your disposal but also much about how well you can make use of your available resources. In the perspective of Lawrence's dilemma about getting into the university, we can say that; it's not the school, it's the student's commitment that determines the graduating output. Kudos to the cast and crew for making this a worthwhile viewing.
