Hidden meanings in Film noir: MAGGIE BLACK (2017) - ...yet project themselves as the love we all seek.

Maggie's psychotic episodes have a meaning that we are interested in. Read on for some hidden meanings in this movie.

  • Mental health
Maggie is suffering from a relapse to psychotic episodes because she has a mental health history and had attempted suicide in the past. Mental health issues are a result of a misalignment between reality and the divine programming of the human mind. When we have wrong experiences that contrast with our expectations, like being jilted and used during situations when we expected love and support, it could trigger a disbalance in the way our brains process things. In this regard, it is important to be aware of things, to be knowledgeable about the true workings of society so that we won't be caught off guard by negative experiences.

  • The dirty linen
Maggie scolds her husband for mentioning her condition in the presence of the maid. Do not wash your dirty linen in public is an old saying that refers to keeping private matters private. It is important to keep certain unsettling situations secret to avoid being taken advantage off by the vultures who are always lurking and looking for such opportunities.

  • Euphemism
The use of Euphemism to reflect the bonds of sexual entrapment seems to be a subtle reference in this movie. As Maggie reflects the personality of a tormented woman who's disturbed by something that's not right, even though the viewer can't really pinpoint what it is. It's also symbolized in her piano practice and golf practices. The disturbance of bonded sexual service in the midst of blossoming love, even to married and pregnant women is the subtle and underlying issue that this movie portrays. Its a big shame on the guys, you've had so much, but your greed are insatiable.

  • The power to defend
The guy who makes a comment at the house opening party, that Maggie's husband could lose his house to someone else who deserves it, is the same guy who gives her a raunchy round of preggo sex on her matrimonial bed and in the very golf lawn he mentioned at the party. Well the gentleman might not be able to defend his apartment but what's his wife's pussy got to do with it? Aren't they tormenting? When they show up in your face like friends, then go behind your back to make a mockery of your love. Even with the bonds, reasonable people would work towards a solution rather than take advantage of the situation. Reasonable women would speak out. How do you feel about all the wrongs that have been identified on this blog, from sex trafficking minors to snuff films? Everyone who accepts the system is indirectly responsible for the sustenance of these wrong practices.

  • The madness
Maggie is the personification of Archangel Gabriella, just like Jennifer Lawrence from the movie 'Winter's Bone'. Her psychotic episodes reflect a common trend among the archangelic vessels whose sanity are destroyed by the systems which are bonded to destroy love, yet project themselves as the love we all seek. Maggie's guilt over her past experiences makes her insecure and she accuses her husband of infidelity, while confessing that she has been unfaithful.

  • Thank God for civilization
Maggie's husband who is expecting a baby from his loving wife, stands helplessly as Maggie confesses to having sex with someone else in their matrimonial home and bed. Sometimes we wonder if the system of entrapment only sponsors legal restrictions to take advantage of the ignorant. An African man might have lost the baby with a few slaps and punches. Thank God for civilization, because Maggie is quite pretty.
