- A Wrong Choice
'What do you think was on the other side of the pillar', Paul Rayburn (Bobby Cannavale) asks John Creasy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), in reference to Creasy's attempted suicide by driving into a pillar. Sometimes we make a wrong choice in our attempt to end our problems and it is usually more out of ignorance than actual frustration. The politician or high-stakes business man who commits suicide because his sexual escapades has been exposed is still ignorant of the compulsory destruction of love and humiliation sequences young girls are put through, and the depressed and anxiety ridden recently sacked employee is ignorant of what his true passions and talents are and the opportunities were he would excel greatly. Furthermore, those who kill themselves because of the loss of a loved one are ignorant that the late wish that they survive with beautiful memories and enjoy a fruitful life.
In reality, the only thing on the other side of death is a repetition of the things you failed to correct, so you might as well man up and face your challenges. Don't beat yourself up about bad experiences, but learn, grow, and move on. Rise above the ignorance of religion and see the reincarnating and repeating cycles of life as we embark on this journey to a physical heavenly presence.
- The Secret Service
'My dad gets up at four thirty and I have fifteen minutes to get home', Poe (Billie Boullet) replies as she leaves the midnight party. Teenage escapades on midnight runs under the ignorance of a father ignorant of a system of sexual exploitation is deeper than it appears to be.
I remember hearing the erotic percussions of enchanting drumbeats through the late nights to early mornings back in my home city and I used to wonder which people loved to party so hard. Then I started seeing the social media videos of naked dancing teens on makeshift stages in the middle of the night and I realized I've been a fool for a really long time.
The secret service of compulsory sexual exploitation of teen girls, makes Father's who are not bonded members appear to stress themselves taking care of children only for creating more slaves for a system that already enslaves them.
We would only fail to term it sexual fun, if we ignore the unfortunate experiences of Fathers sentenced to death for standing in the way of their daughter's acceptance of serving the systems, and mothers who won't speak up because they are already under entrapping bonds, and are afraid of being more victimized by a system that controls everything. Let us kindly differentiate between fun and entrapment. One symbolizes freedom, while the other enslavement.
- The Best Man
'Job interviews are not my specialty' Creasy replies to the head of operations as he defends his right to be an active part of the task force investigating the assassination of Mr Rayburn. He goes ahead to prove his worth by taking down the syndicate.
Sometimes the best person is not the highest performing by exams, but rather the active participant who creatively constructs solutions to real world problems. It is important to pay attention to other aspects of a person qualities and not test scores alone. This is why a lot of employment actually comes through social cycles rather than entry aptitude exam scores.
- Driving Blindly
Creasy extracts information from a captured gang member but the gangster barely knows anything. He's on a mission from a code name and he claims that his way of life is a necessary evil to survive his harsh environment. Surviving the harsh environment indeed!!! More like creating more harshness for the people with increased insecurity and oppression. We often fall for the wrong perceptions which makes us drive blindly into our own ruin.
First of all, the codename is a ruse to misguide you into sacrificing yourself for the benefit of others. Secondly, it only appears to be necessary because you follow the bandwagon.
If you took a step back and reimagined yourself, you'd see so many doors thrown wide open. If you can conquer your ego and persevere in patience, then you can ignite a chain of reawakening that would correct the imbalance in our world and create better opportunities for everyone.
- Self Deceit
'If you're not one, you don't want to become one', Vico (Iago Xavier) says to Livro (Jefferson Baptista) while mocking Livro's ability to protect Poe.
In reality, most people won't let their loved ones be a part of the fraternity they belong to. We are not certain if it's because of the dangers and or pain associated with membership or if its selfish greed to not let others gain benefits of membership. But one thing is for sure, it is self deceit to speak against something you actively work hard to sustain. You cannot swear your life and undermine the life of others because of a commitment to an evil oath, and yet advice people against taking up that commitment. If its so bad then at the best, reject it or at the very least don't actively participate in its sustenance by discriminating and cheating non-members, and yes, It is bad enough to let it all go.
- A Wrong Perspective
Beto (Bruno Suzano) bullies his younger brother, Livro, for being a weakling, but he's trying to make his brother into who he really isn't.
Sometimes we expect too much from others because we view them from a wrong perspective, we view them from who we want them to be, which is usually just like us, rather than who they really are. In this perspective, we can assume that Livro is a meek lover in a sea of violent defenders who forcefully obtain and enslave love. This makes Livro a square peg in a round hole. He might succeed at music and social welfare services but certainly not in gun battles.
You can't judge a fish by its ability to climb trees because even though they have an ability to swim up stream they still can't climb trees.
This 7 episode actioned packed series is what binge watching and is sure to keep you glued to your screens. Enjoy watching it as much as we did. Thank you and have a great week.
