- Double standards
While the school is know for its strictness, and a girl gets the school nurse into trouble for giving her contraceptives, a male teacher is known for sleeping with his students. Amanda the school nurse is sacked for it! The male teacher on the other hand continues his escapades with Mona Lisa. Double standards is how our society has been corrupted. Those who cheat and oppress, expect the oppressed to be solemn and respectful. Those who obtain forcefully and disrespect others, expect the disrespected to be peaceful. Double standards creates an imbalance that slowly eats at our world. Double standards is evident in almost every facet of our live. Clergy men who amass wealth expect solemnity and contentment from their members. Men who have multiple sex partners expect their spouse to be faithful. We need to be better people, we need to change for the sake of development. Isn't it surprising that equality and gender discrimination issues of the past are still quite evident in our current times. Most especially in less developed parts of the world like Africa were economic standards are still similar to the 50s of the western world.
- Stereotype
The girls are being groomed for the sole responsibility of taking care of their husbands and kids. They are to become educated housewives, while it is an improvement from not permitting girl child education in the 50s, it is unfortunately a far cry from the show of intelligence that Mona Lisa experiences in her first class. The relegation and discrimination of the female gender is one of the major causes of imbalance in our world. Excluding the sexual entrapment and enslavement practices, discrimination in education and professions creates a void that only female intelligence can fill. When would men realize that women have a brain in their head just like men do? That they are not just made up of exciting boobs and ass, that the members of enslaving systems are willing to fight and die for, and most disgustingly cheat their own brothers out off.
- A show
At the wedding the bride hands a poem to the groom and requests he uses it as his wedding speech. Just like we see a great show of jamboree at weddings, we indeed put up a show, albeit a rather disgraceful show of what love should be, when truly and deep down we know that love is ruined. In reality, a husband whose wife has to be slutty and made unlovable to his own knowledge would still put up a show of loving pretense in the eyes of the public. Its not advisable to wash your dirty linen in public, but the first step to solving a problem is accepting there's a problem. Needless to say, the bride ends up unhappy in the marriage. Lets don a solemn hat and apply proper efforts towards fixing the issues of love, the issues of our humanity and world. Issues which are so elaborately expressed in the blogs and eBooks on this website.
