Stuck in a rut, Meredith takes the only action that seems logical, she attempts to break out of the norm. Read on for hidden meanings in this movie.

  • Fix it
The movie starts off with Meredith reminiscing on time spent with her late mother. Then she mentions that she's doomed to repeat what her mother did and suffer her mother's own fate. All this sonorous story telling is on a background of her mother dancing in full nude with a white flowing cloth. Yeah, its a touching statement being doomed to repeat past errors. What are our errors? Our errors are a nonchalant attitude towards fixing the wrongs. They are our decision to accept wrongness as the new norm. The wrongness of enslavement and entrapment of women and especially the errors in unusual request or task given to innocent women as a way of overcoming bonds. The misdirection is worse than the mistakes. Fix it...

  • Misdirection
Meredith carries on her tale with an unusual task given to the women by 'the man'. They are to tie bowls on their waist and walk in the rain to gather rain water. Water that can be easily gathered by placing containers alone outside. The man here, represents the system of oppression placing undue hardship on the innocent rather than being a supportive figure. The bowls tied to their waist represents all the misdirection that aren't a stable cure to the bonds. These misdirection in reality include nudity, prostitution, gangbangs, BDSM, etc. These misdirection only help to serve the purpose of destroying love, not one among them provides or works towards a permanent cure to the bonds. Like Meredith says in the opening scene, these mis-directions only sustain the wrongness of things to be applied again on the next generation of innocent children. Fix it, Fix the misdirection. Set love free.

  • The confused silence
Meredith mentions the townspeople who look on nonchalantly without doing anything about the wrongs. These people represent humanity in reality, especially the angelic or as the systems calls them 'fools'. People who would see a young woman being paraded naked in the streets in a public humiliation sequence and they would only bring out their cocks to ask for a round. Most people don't seem to understand the true problem of freeing women from the bonds. Most people haven't grasped the full implication of the sustenance of wrongness. It is the faith of the world, people, it is the faith of the world that is being decided.

  • Don't be a hero
Meredith adamantly claims that she does the hard work to prove to the man that she can. No baby, don't be a hero. If it ain't right, the call a spade a spade. Speak out. Speak out, especially now that we have a bit of transparency and effective communication through technology. Lets not accept wrongs and leave them as an inheritance for those unborn.

  • The Man or The Bear
The Bear Meredith sees comes into sexually harass the women is a costume worn by the man. The man or the bear symbolizes men who hide behind the excuse of tradition, culture, religion, or fraternity to take advantage of women. These men are secret to the 'fools' or the uninitiated, hence the analogy of a costumed bear no one knows about. Like the biblical Cain, many people would as; Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, we are. We are because we are social animals, we do not live in a vacuum and each of us has a responsibility to each other's rights. Those who lose their rights could also lose their responsibility. We each have a responsibility to build our world with innate skills and unique talents. Letting your brother lose his rights, indirectly hurts you too, because it has an effect on our human race journey.

  • The destruction of love
The movies scenes also contain the humiliating nudity of our loving sisters, in the name of acting. Nudity, is just one of the methods for making a woman unlovable in acknowledgement of the tenets of the systems of cheating.

  • Protection uncalled for
Meredith gets punished for venturing outside of the home into the garden. The man tells her it's not safe and he would protect her and only send her out for tasks he gives. This symbolizes reality, because women initiated into the systems have no freedom to be with the 'fools', they are tasked and untasked as the lords pleases. They are placed under the delusion that the ignorant are wicked and dangerous. The ignorant who would see a woman nude and only think of sex, or rape. The ignorant who aren't aware of the bonds. Are the ignorant really dangerous or wicked? Are they just confused and deprived? They have a right to love, and they shouldn't be deprived of it.
